Valentines

So this last week has been a bit crazy but that seems to be the trend lately. We started out the week with a few nights of really bad sleeping Cambry started getting the horrible cold that has been going around so Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night she was up multiple times because her nose is stuffed and whenever she breathed through her mouth she would cough so no fun for me or Cambry we kept her out of preschool on Tuesday but I didn't want her to miss her Valentines party on Thursday so finally Wednesday night I got smart and got our humidifier out of the storage it did the trick and she slept all night Wednesday with no problems in fact I had to wake her up Thursday so we could get to preschool early for her party. Over all not a bad week though thanks to free babysitting at the church on Tuesday me and Chris got to have 2 date nights we enjoyed hearing from a couple from our stake on ways to strengthen our relationship and then headed to a nice dinner without kids that right there made the week easier I can't tell you how many meals I get to eat while they are warm without stopping to feed someone else and that I don't have to cook it was awesome! Thursday was a bit crazy we stayed up late making Cambry's Valentines for her class but they turned out really cute
I Got the idea here http://www.etsy.com/listing/92157145/printable-valentines-cards-swedish-fish

It is impossible to get her to smile with her eyes open
Her hair that day turned out pretty cute
We had to get up a little earlier than usual because her preschool Valentines day party started at 9 well we got half way there and realized we had forgotten all her Valentines so we turned around and ended up about 15 minutes late for the party, everything turned out alright though they didn't start right away so she didn't miss anything and it was fun to be able to be there and see her in her preschool setting although man I know see why they ask for Parent volunteers to help there was about 35 kids between that ages of 3 and 5 and we had them separated into 4 groups one group was listening to a valentine story, another decorated and ate sugar cookies, another group worked on dropping their valentines into the bags they had for everyone, and the last group worked on making cute valentine flowers out of dumdums and cupcake wrappers I was in charge of helping the teacher for that group and let me tell you it was fun but trying to get about 8 kids to wait their turn to make a sucker and cut on the right spots and just sit in general was definitely a challenge. After her party we went to work and she took a nap while I calmed all the fire that happen when I am not at the office (seriously it is complete chaos when I am not there within half an hour of me getting there all the emails are answered, the reports are done, and the questions are taken care of I don't know why that is but seems like I can priorities better than the guys). After work we dropped off a few valentines to friends, then I picked up the house and went to get our babysitter. We don't usually do date nights on Valentines day because we don't like the crowds but we decided to try something new this year and do the Megaplex date night you get a dinner in a private room (with other couples that purchase the date night) you don't have to wait for a table (you don't get to pick the food but they tell you sort of what is going to be there and it was set buffet style and you could choose what you wanted and how much ) it came with dinner, dessert, tickets to a movie of your choice, two drinks and a large popcorn for the movie, a chocolate caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (which I ate entirely by myself) and an extra fun treat. Overall it was really nice we didn't have to wait for a table or for the food, our movie started right at the perfect times so a win-win. Anyways Thursday night Linkin was acting kind of whiny and coughing a little it just got worse so it was a good thing we got our date nights during the week because we didn't leave the house much for the entire weekend. Friday night he woke up every few hours and then wouldn't go back to sleep after 4 am unless he was being held by me I tried to lay down with him so I could sleep too and I just can't sleep that way I woke up every time he made any noise and by 630 we were both miserable so we decided to take him to the instacare which was a nightmare in an of itself the first one wouldn't take our insurance and so we had to wait another hour for the other after hours urgent care to open (I don't know how being open 9-5 is after hours but whatever) and by that time the Tylenol I had given him had kicked in and he had had a bottle and a nap so he was acting perfectly happy at the doctors and they said pretty much they couldn't do anything for him. Luckily Auntie April was home and willing to watch Cambry at 7 am on a Saturday so we didn't have to drag her through that 3 hours of fun. Anyways he has been pretty miserable and needy all weekend but is finally clearing up. This post has now gone on way longer than necessary so here is a few cute pictures of our little Valentines to finish it up.

Cambry threw a bunch of balls in his cradle the other day and he loved it it made it like his own personal ball pit

Hard to get a clear picture of him because when he is happy and smiling he is moving it is crazy

Settling In

So I finally have  things settled in a we are now back to a good routine everything that we need is mostly unpacked and I have finally had time to go back Zumba Yay! So much has been happening I don't even know where to begin. First we finally have the house sold sort of we are doing a lease option where the family moving in will basically be renting it from us for two years and then at the end of the two years they will have 6 months to get the paperwork in order to buy it from us for the agreed upon price. The benefits of this is we will be renting like we planned we don't have to put it back on the market at the end of the two years if all goes as well. As long as they don't back out at the end of the two years this works great for us. Anyways not that is taken care of and one less stress to worry about. Our kids have been handling this change really well actually at first Cambry asked if Grammy was going to be home every time we headed home and now she has moved to saying things like"Grammy would love that if she was here" she said that about her hair today even. She is now sleeping through the night well in her new room and if we even drive back to our old house to check on things she says everything is packed there she just wants to go back to Grammy's. She really is in a super fun stage even though I don't like the attitude she has sometimes but she really does come up with the funniest things some of my favorites are "Daddy and me are not brest friends anymore maybe we can be brest friends tomorrow." or "George Washy tin was the first present tent" (she is learning about the presidents at preschool) or "mom you need to be nice to the kitty it was an accitent she can't move the ipad somewhere else she doesn't have fingers" or when I said I think brothers cold is back she said "I think my back is cold too." Seriously she makes me laugh every single day even when she makes me mad. And Linkin is growing like crazy he is already in 9 month clothing and barely fits in that he has figured out rolling and is a pro at sitting up and just figure out how to clap his hands by himself this last week and looked so proud of himself it was seriously adorable. He has also started eating more solids and is pretty excited about food in general. He also loves his big sister and will just sit and watch her and laugh and he loves the bath the kid drenches the whole bathroom within seconds because he just loves to sit and splash, it is fun watching him discover new things and grow though I wish sometimes he could stay my sweet little baby I know the day is coming soon when he will be crawling, walking, and then running away from me. Now to end with fun part here are a few pictures of our kiddos.
What doesn't your house have it's own private soap dispenser

The only picture I could get with him sitting still

She wanted a picture of them together in the wagon but I couldn't get one with both of them looking and sitting still

Despite any trouble we have we truly are blessed and loving life

Moving...

So I'm obviously really bad at this blogging thing but now that my Mom and Dad are officially out of the country and really do need to do better about keeping this up to date. So I'm just going to start off with what we have been up to the last few weeks. First off we haven't been able to sell our house and since this last Saturday was the last Saturday this month we decided we needed to get everything moved to storage and moved into my parents house then. Now moving sucks anyways but it really sucks when it's freezing outside and starts snowing/raining freezing rain so you get cold and wet and so does all your stuff. Started the week off making dinner for an early birthday dinner for my sister who moved to Alabama Thursday Boo :( and packing, I also did visiting teach, presidency meeting, and went out to dinner with Chris's family to celebrate his Mom's Birthday. So all in all I was already exhausted by Saturday and we hadn't even started combine that with the fact that we didn't really ask anyone to help us partly because we know how much it sucks moving and we are doing it twice, and partly because we didn't think we would need that much help, and by Sunday night when we were taking yet another load I was done I could barely lift anything and my fingers were frozen. I started off the day Saturday bruising my shin with a large glacier that was frozen on top of the tarp on top of the trailer, and ended it totally biffing it on the sidewalk outside of my friends where I went to drop off clothes seriously look at the what that left on my knee I didn't even rip my pants so I didn't think anything of it until I go home and went to take a shower and saw this,
This is a few days later (ignore the ugly leg)
It hurt so bad I'm still having trouble bending it. Anyways enough of the pity party I hired a maid service to come do a move out clean today and Stanley steamers is coming to shampoo tomorrow and then we are officially done.  Someone is coming to look at it to possibly buy it today but if not it will be up to rent and hopefully it will rent fast and we won't have to continue paying for a house we aren't living in. Now we just need to meet with the builders of our new house and set a date to begin. We were planning on waiting a few months but we might move that up partly to avoid getting hit with the new changes that are coming for FHA loans and partly because I"m not sure how long I can handle having a tiny bathroom (sorry mom I love you for letting us live in your house but your guest bathroom is insane). Anyways the kids are adjusting well and absolutely LOVING having Aunty April around to play with so that is a HUGE plus! I think that is pretty much it on for this week I"ll try to do this at least once a week and to keep this from being too boring here are a few cute pictures
Getting her Nail done with Tamara my little girly girl

My little Heart breaker after his first haircut
I Love these two with all my heart and of course my handsome husband who really had to do most of the work this weekend as well as shovel snow multiple times from multiple driveways I'll move anywhere as long as I can be with them :)

Getting Started...Good intentions

I have been meaning to start a blog for some time now and since I promised my mom I would do it while she is on her mission next year I figured I might as well start now. This is more for me than anything else to keep track of things and be able to document our life without having to rely on my sometimes faulty memory. October was a crazy month seems like it lasted forever on one hand and flew by on the next. I tried to do something crafty with Cambry at least a couple times a week most of it ended up being pumpkin related but there were a few other Halloween type crafts in there to. Here are a few of the crafts with Links to where I got the ideas so if I want to do them again next year I can remember how.

Hand print Pumpkins

Balloon Spiderweb

Pipe Cleaner Pumpkins
Paper strip Pumpkins
Paper Plate Witch Hat

We also did Paper plate Spider Webs, Paper Plate Pumpkins, Paper Jack-O-Laterns, Jack-O-Latern sugar cookies, painted a pumpkin, made our own "pumpkin on a gate" book, did a pumpkin do-a-dot page and went to a pumpkin patch, oh and watched and read "It's the great pumpkin charlie brown" wow now that I listed it all out I see why the month felt so busy. Anyways that is enough for today I will post another post for Halloween full of you guessed it more pictures. All well at lose ones have more of my cute goose in them.
